Licensed Clinical Social Worker

specializing in

Trauma Therapy

Life can bring an array of experiences that leave a resounding impact on our being. When we experience things like trauma, addiction, or other difficult and often taboo circumstances, we are left with pain and often are searching for relief and healing. Mental health therapy is a powerful tool in the healing process, a process that you are worthy of experiencing yourself.

Relief does not mean you won't have struggles or challenging days, however the struggles will not cause your whole world to shut down. Having tools and skills to help navigate barriers, challenges. or set backs can transform the way you move through your world.

I am uniquely trained and qualified to work with clients experiencing PTSD, grief, recovery from narcissistic and antagonistic abuse, and adult children of emotionally immature parents.

I utilize Cognitive Processing Therapy with my clients experiencing PTSD.

Meet Stefanie:

Hello!

I am Stefanie, a trauma specialist that has been in the social work field for more than 20 years. I came to the therapy world in a pursuit of helping people and have fallen in love with the unique and honoring role I get to play in the lives of my clients. I believe that therapy is not meant to last forever, but should be focused, goal oriented, and intentional in its aim for progress. My role in the therapeutic relationship is to teach skills, support the use of these skills, and to address any possible barriers to success in this.

My hope for my clients is that they would feel heard, validated, and challenged during their time in therapy. My unique and extensive training in PTSD and trauma specific therapies allows me to effectively meet my clients where they are at and equip them with skills to utilize in their day to day lives.

When I am not doing therapy, I enjoy spending time with my two daughters, kayaking, and visiting local attractions such as the Seneca Park Zoo, attending Rochester Redwings baseball games, and seeing my favorite bands in concert. I love riding roller coasters and Darien Lake is my absolute favorite theme park!

If you are looking to begin the process of healing and change in your own life, let’s connect and talk about next steps!

Perhaps the butterfly is proof that you can go through a great deal of darkness yet become something beautiful
